Product Description

At Inside Key West we have many Deep Sea Fishing Charter opportunities available, with our Key West Charter Fishing Captains being on the water nearly every day. They are expert Deep Sea Fishing Guides, and they combine time, location, and technique to help you catch fish. Trolling with lures or bait, live-bait casting or drop-fishing, casting surface plugs and lures, and kite fishing are some of the proven ways to bring Deep Sea Game Fish on the boat. Along with using the newest electronic fish finding technology, your Key West Deep Sea Fishing Captain will search the sea for color changes in the water, diving and feeding birds, floating debris, rip currents, and weed lines. You can join in the hunt and the excitement by helping your captain, and a good pair of binoculars is recommended both for finding fish and enjoying the sight of birds, dolphins, turtles, and other marine life.

All of our Deep Sea Fishing Charter Boats are well-equipped for your party’s comfort. Clean restrooms, comfortable seating, plenty of cooler space for cold drinks and lunches, and all of the bait and tackle needed will be available.

How long are the Split Fishing Charter Trips?
1/2 Day Trips = 4 Hours
3/4 Day Trips = 6 Hours

What experience level is necessary?
Our Key West Charter Guides and Captains can provide fun fishing for every angler from first-timer to expert. Whether you are a veteran sport fisherman looking to fine tune your game to Key West waters or a beginner just learning how to use a rod and reel, our Key West Guides are ready with friendly, patient advice and support.

How many people can go fishing on a charter?
We can handle parties of up to 6 anglers.

Are food and refreshments included?
Lunch bag with sandwich, chips and cookies is available at check-in for $10.

Are alcoholic beverages allowed on board?
Yes, mild alcoholic beverages like Beer, Cider, Hard Lemonade, Wine, and Wine Coolers are allowed. However, for everyone’s safety, NO GLASS CONTAINERS are allowed on board – metal or plastic containers only please.

Is fishing gear provided?
Yes, we provide the latest top-of-the-line fishing tackle available. In fact, our charters offer experienced fishermen a great chance to try out some top-notch gear. All fishing equipment is well-maintained, with line changed on a regular basis and terminal set-ups expertly chosen and tied on. Our gear is the best, but experienced fishermen are welcome to bring their favorite rod and reel if they like.

Is bait provided?
Yes. Whatever the fishing calls for: live bait, frozen bait, cut bait, or chum, our Charter Captains will have plentiful supplies on hand. The same thing goes for artificial bait such as lures, flies, or plugs.

What kind of clothing should I bring?
For protection from the hot sun of Key West, it is always best to cover yourself as much as possible. Caps or sun hats, bandanas, sun glasses, and of course sun screen are all necessities. In the winter, it can be quite cool and breezy offshore, so a light weight jacket may be useful. For winter season early morning trips, a pair of light gloves can also add comfort. Bring a small day pack or duffel bag for your extra clothing, cameras, binoculars, and other necessities.

What kind of shoes should I wear?
Any footwear with closed-toes and non-marking soles will be fine.

What is the inclement weather cancellation policy?
Passenger safety is the first priority of all Fish Key West Charter Captains, so trips may occasionally be canceled due to weather or water conditions. Trips will only be canceled with the Captain’s consent, and all cancellations will be made at the dock on the day of the trip.

What is the customary gratuity?
If you had a great trip and are happy with the service provided by our Key West Charter Captain and Crew, a tip of 15-20% of the total trip cost would be very much appreciated. And remember to recommend us to your friends!

adam m, July 30, 2012 at 3:33 am My son and I had a 1/2 day great trip. I was a little leery about this bescuae some of the older reviews were a bit rough. We didn’t experience anything but a great day on the ocean. We are already planning our next trip. Everything from the check-in process, to rod rental, to getting on the boat was smooth and courteous. Fred, the captain, was very professional and kept us all informed. The deck hands pretty much handled everything except baiting your hook and holding your rod. (The tied the knots, taught you how to fish, cut the bait, took the fish off your line, detangled any problems you had, kept track of your catch, filleted your fish, etc.) The crew was very busy but never too busy to stop to help you, nor short. In fact, I was very pleased with their attitudes for such a tough job. They were excellent with kids. The captain moved the boat about 4 times trying to find the fish. All-in-all I guess we fished a good 2-3 hours which was plenty for me and my 8-year old boy. We caught 9 fish, 5 keepers, between us, and were pretty pleased with that. Here’s a quick list of our costs. (Since people were mad about that in other reviews)- $10 each rod rental- $15 CA fishing license- $2 for fish bag- $2 for biggest catch buy-in- $1 per fish to fillet- a few bucks for snacks- tip for crewYou can bring your own snacks, non-alcoholic beverages. A couple of the families did that and it was just fine. Also, bring warm clothes appropriate for the time of year. -yelp
